Today is the first day of Spring Australia, still dam cold but happy Brideys day or Imbolc. Brigid is not a saint, thats an appropriation of her in order for the christ plague to lull Celts and English to christ insanity. Brighid or Bridey is a daughter of the Celtic War goddess the Morrigan (Who is the daughter of the Goddess the 'Danu'), often depicted holding a flamed heart and with flaming red hair. Sound familiar? and yes she predates christ fables. She holds the spark in this early spring that promises new growths and births/creations are ahead. Brigid is the name sake of Britain, Britannia and even Regina itself. Imbolc means in the belly pertaining to the animals and mother nature herself carrying life in the womb for birthing in mid spring 'ostara' Life itself stirs in the soil and starts to reach out for the sun. Even though it's cold you can feel the Spring stirrings and even the birds are extra perky after a long winter..
